Through a mutual friend, Carrie McKinley entered the Brothercousin world. Keith took the reigns on this project, carefully crafting her debut EP Anchor over the last half of 2011. Ryan stepped in for guitar and bass duties, and Keith handled everything else, sans piano and vocals. What resulted was a mature and confident sound, incorporating elements of pop, folk, and rock into her piano driven songs.

Carrie has been working the open mic scene here in Austin for the past year and is gearing up for the transition to the big stage in 2012. Fans of Tori Amos and Carole King take note: she's got her eye on you!

This is Ryan's acoustic trio. They formed in early 2011 as a result of a regular Sunday church gig. Featuring the magnificent vocals of Julia Ward and the seasoned percussion of CJ Menge, H.G. Supreme will soft rock their way into your hearts and homes. Mostly they do private parties and events, but you can occasionally find the Supreme at a place where people like to drink $12 cocktails.

Ryan's neighbor Nathan is a member of Austin, TX heavy hitters Polaris Breach. And even though they have been neighbors and acquaintances for several years, neither really had an idea of what the other one was up to. Musically, that is. Until one day when Nathan came by and said his band wanted to record a demo and asked if we could help him out. Brothercousin gladly said yes. And then these dudes f*cking brought it!

There's a definite Pantera influence. Which is awesome.

Great drums. Menacing vocals. Shredding guitar. What more could you want?

Word on the street is that Brothercousin is gearing up to produce their first full length album early in 2012. Stay tuned.

Gritty roadhouse rock and roll. Thomas McDonald brought in a batch of tunes on an acoustic guitar, and with Keith at the helm, left with five full blast rock songs. Ranging from Springsteen to Bryan Adams to Ryan Bingham, Thomas' music is rock and roll.

Keith served as drummer, musical director, engineer and producer for the project, with Ryan handling guitar and bass duties. Local Austin heavyweights Stefano Intelisano (piano), Erik Telford (trumpet), and Marcus Cardwell (saxophone) were brought in for overdubs and polish. The result was a dynamic, professional EP that Thomas used to launch his band, Thomas McDonald and The Record Collection.

TMATRC is currently playing shows in and around Norfolk, VA.

Recorded during the summer of 2009, White Citrus was Ryan's third album of original material, and his first with Keith. This project was Suite 2E's maiden voyage. Time to take the training wheels off. The record features many of the finest musicians Austin has to offer.

Keith and Ryan both engineered the record, with additional engineering from guitarist Scott Clark, who laid down some tasty licks of his own (check out the bitchin' guitar solo on "I Got Me a ....."). White Citrus was mixed in Boulder, CO, at Coupe Studios by Bobby Gibson and Ryan Dart. Mastered here in Austin by Roger Blevins at his Manor Productions facility. Ryan and Keith toured and played shows supporting White Citrus for almost two years. Then it was time for a break from that. As for the next album.........

Love is Made of Work

In the summer of 2010, Ryan was approached by local songwriting phenom Christian Ward about producing his solo album. Christian is a member of the wildly successful bluegrass outfit, The Lost Pines, but wanted to take a slightly different approach to his solo record. In many ways, it's a traditional American roots music album, but it is very unique in its breadth and range of American music. There's blues, country, rock, lots of folk, bluegrass, country, an old time holler or two, and country. And most importantly, a songwriting depth that belies his 29 years on this earth.

Throughout the summer, Christian and Ryan and whatever assembled cast of musicians was available at the time, gathered at Suite 2E to lay down what would eventually become Love is Made of Work. Many new friendships were made, and many old ones rekindled. It truly was a "friend" album, and a treasure trove of lasting memories.

Keith was brought in to mix the album, and did a yeoman's job. The record was mastered at Fresh Up studio in Austin, TX, by Sam Patlove (T Bird and the Breaks). Sam also supplied all of the steady drumbeats. Hopefully the album will see a release sometime in late 2011/early 2012. In the meantime, head on over to Christian Ward's Bandcamp page to listen to the album.

DSGNS, (prononced DESIGNS) is Keith's hardcore/metal band. They're heavy as f*ck. Been rocking the River City for a couple of years now and it's only getting better. Keith has recorded all of their demos throughout the life of the band, but they never really had anything official until now. After solidifying the lineup, DSGNS headed into Suite 2E and the Diamond Factory studio (Austin, TX) to begin work on an official EP. Keith served as drummer, engineer, producer, mixer, and mastering engineer for the EP. The results speak for themselves. Click here.

Ryan produced Taylor's first album, Whiplash Ballroom, in 2007 on a shoestring budget and a Roland VS-880EX (for all you old school hard disk recorder folks). It was a great experience and a great album, so when Taylor came calling to start work on his second album, Brothercousin jumped at the opportunity. Having Keith on board completed the triumvirate, and The V Album was born. We did basic tracks at a ranch outside of Hico, TX, over a glorious weekend in March 2010. Lots of Lone Star and bacon. Overdubs, guitar solos, arrangement tweaks, etc., were then done back in Austin at Suite 2E throughout the rest of 2010 and into 2011. The V Album was digitally released to worldwide acclaim on October 22, 2011.
