Charakarts are an eclectic ensemble of characters racing imaginary kart-like vehicles, coexisting in a world inspired by racing videogames. Charakarts find their source in various genres, including but not limited to art, music, film, comics, manga and television.
Colour finish of characters from genres such as Comics (Little Nemo, The Far Side), Videogames (Punch Out, Q*Bert) and Manga (Gundam, Tetsujin 28go, Gegege no Kitaro):

<description>Antoine Revoy and Kelly Murphy co-illustrated the chapter novel 'Haunted Houses (Are You Scared Yet?)', written by Robert Sans Souci and published by Henry Holt &#38; Co.. This chilling read is a collection of stories revolving around the theme of haunted domains and is oriented towards young adults. Kelly and Antoine created black and white art in crow quill and ink wash painting to illustrate the book's ten horror stories (full drawings and spot illustrations), as well as a cover in mixed media.

Artwork created for 'Haunted Houses (Are You Scared Yet?)' was selected by The Society of Illustrators during the course of its 53rd annual competition. The illustration "The Lodge" was exhibited at the Museum of American Illustration in New York City. It is also featured in The Society of Illustrators' 2011 Annual Book.

"The Lodge" illustration was also chosen by American Illustration for publication on their website during their 29th annual competition.

BNP Paribas is one of the largest global banking and financial groups in the world, one of the six strongest banks in the world according to Standard &#38; Poor's and ranked in 2010 as the 11th largest company in the world by Forbes.

In September 2006 I started working in Paris as a senior designer for BNP Paribas' Internal Communications branch, on site at the company's office in the Opera district (the geographical and financial center of Paris). Initially hired to design Rich Internet Applications (in then nascent Flex technologies) interaction experience and UI in the context of tailor made applications developed for the bank's employees, my work and contribution met such acclaim that within a year I was chosen to lead the front end design of the banking group's new company intranet as art and creative director, a project in which I was involved from the beginning of conception in October 2007 to the intranet's on-schedule and unanimously praised international launch in September 2008.

My singular experience in designing not only internet websites but also light web and desktop applications proved invaluable in addressing the forementioned issues of the intranet's previous incarnation while also leading me to take on the role of advisor and director in the implementation of new features, amongst which direct manipulation utilizing AJAX.

Since the installment of the previous intranet, new working habits, standards and expectations had formed with the progress of online applications thanks to the advent of Flash, AJAX and Flex, on websites which employees were using at home for personal use on a daily basis. My expertise helped temper excessive eagerness on the part of the client, borne out of the frustration which both web masters and end users had previously expressed and endured. The combination of this increase in expectations and long held frustration gave birth to unreasonable design requests from the client, entailing the risk of increasing the complexity of an unusually multi-purposed application. Other notable challenges and accomplishments include:

identification of end user tasks, direct and indirect client needs
design of a modular interface and user experience satisfying an exceptional number of needs (at times reconciling seemingly contradictory demands from separate sources) while preserving application simplicity
building an interactive prototype to demonstrate the added value and benefits of the new intranet, in hopes of convincing former defectors to return
creation of a branding and visual reference guide ("Graphic bible") and design documentation for site maintenance and extension
delivery of original graphics for intranet use
serving as an intermediary in french, english and spanish language between clients (HR, Internal Communications, Retail Banking) and BNP Paribas's IT department, a role akin to Client/Service Manager
Despite the extraordinary number of problematiques, both direct and indirect clients as well as technical hurdles, the new BNP Paribas company intranet was launched on schedule in September 2008, to the great satisfaction of both managers and end users. Its appealing visual design and efficient user experience sparked the return of whole national branches, teams and subsidiaries which had previously defected the company's intranet, its most significant contribution possibly being the unification of a previously fragmentary intranet landscape. Today, 201,700 employees in 84 countries work together, better, daily on the BNP Paribas company intranet.</description>
