The brand targets contemporary, young, dandy gentlemen. ODIN promotes qualities of the god of the same name: respectable, gentlemanly, wise & poetic yet still strong and somewhat mysterious. Classic but not ritual, old-school but not hipster-like, fashionable but not fancy, refined but not luxurious. The design solution is a minimal, grid-based, typography-focused identity with custom lettering sans-serif logotype and a stamped logo mark with Scandinavian / Viking reference. <img A good design solution has to embrace and satisfy the requirements while solving the posed problems in a aesthetic way. I also emphasized the importance of designer’s vision in visualizing the project, foreseeing the difficulties and predicting the problems. The artifact is a typographic piece made of threads and pins mounted on foamcore board. The white foam board type was hung on baker twine threads and allowed to move slowly and freely in the air. Differentiate: exceeding presumptions & expectations - Explore: questioning new possibilities - Play: being playful, engaging and fascinating. I also want to emphasize the importance of being playful in the creative process. “Play”, in this case, is not the opposite of “work”, but the opposite of “depress”. The final outcome is a series of interactive prints that allow audience to interact, play and involve themselves with creating the designs from "blank" prints.
