The brief was to explore printing technologies through the use of song lyrics on a poster.

I chose to look into heartache and as at the time I was working on my Research Project, it seemed to fit in with the idea of romantic type.

The background is handdrawn, scanned in and then printed digitally, with the type screen printed over. The background depicts how messy and confusing relationships are. I chose a bright red sans serif typeface to contrast against the old fashioned background.

This was a self-directed brief in which I wanted to take something quite gritty and turn it into something beautiful.

I took a walk around Kensington in Liverpool and took photographs of graffiti written by various people declaring their love or feelings for a person. From those I have redrawn them in a romantic style with a running out pro marker pen to get the textured effect. The backgrounds are to represent that they're drawn onto any surface that they like.

It's printed onto 90gsm cartidge paper and not bound as I wanted it to be a lo-fi project.

Graphic Arts Research Project (GARP) was a 6000 word essay on any subject we wanted to research.

I love illustrative typgraphy and romantic calligraphy, and after struggling to find somewhere that holds calligraphy classes, I chose to ask ' Is calligraphy anachronistic in a digital age?'

I interviewed Peter Horridge, Paul Antonio, Sarah Coleman, Kate Forrester and Simon Ålander to get a better idea of Calligraphy.

The paper is 120gsm Fabriano and i've stitched it using a french stitch.

The brief was to create a response to a series of 'spam' emails, sent from Russian women.

I chose to create a lo-fi book type-setting the emails. I wanted the book to be something quite rude and opposite to what the women were asking for. I wanted a shock value. The images are pixelated so you can barely see what's going on.

I chose to use quite a formal business style of packaging so as when the book is taken out it's quite a shock to see what's inside it, which is normally what happens when you click on the links within the email.

I was approached by TV company Renegade Pictures to create a piece of Graphics for their show 'Celebrity Wedding Planner: Kerry Katona'.

Kerry Katona wanted to give the bride and groom a present for their wedding day. Seeing as the bride was a fan of all things Celebrity, she wanted an A0 front cover Magazine, using pictures of the couple from their wedding day.

The photographs that are used are ones I took myself on their wedding day.

The brief was to create the packaging for Lo Recordings Sample CD choosing from a range of artists and songs.

As it was a pretty open brief, I chose songs with a disco/techno theme. The cover was created using ink splatters which I then edited in Photoshop. The splatters were to give it Universe/Techno feeling to co-incide with the songs.

The brief was to create a book of some form which showcased something we disliked.

I chose my hatred for peas and the 'eat your peas' saying from my Mother. I chose to make it a small book the width of landscape a4 card. Everything is hand drawn, kept together by a belly band which mimics the front cover design.

As part of a group project we were asked to create a promotional brochure for Lost Art skate shop, based in Liverpool.

As an answer to the brief we chose to create concertina booklet, using photographs of the City's landscape and buildings, to create a continuous skate path.

Using a thin stock, we were able to create a coloured path on the background to indicate skate marks.
