“Some” adds a shade of inaccuracy to solid concepts such as places, things, people, time and moments. This inaccuracy rises from the strangeness towards them, as we are not able to understand their nature. The represented moments, in the end, become unable to explain reality themselves. But, ironically, they only exist in the pictures, remembering us, not how they happened, but they happened.

Variation VI: Motion panorama still landscape

Variation on "Fata Morgana" by Werner Herzog. A "motion panorama" means an inert glance on a long (vertical or horizontal) view. These two movements neutralize each other, turning still that what is filmed. This makes posible, in the end, the epiphany of a visually mesmerizing, and ironically motionless, collection of landscapes.

Variation V: Je ne sais pas

Variation on a scene from Jean Luc Godard's "Bande à part". Taking into account his concious attempts of repeating certain moments, just to play with the intouchable continuity of those days, this piece offers a view in real time action of a particular (and beautiful) moment.

Variation IV: Reframe

Variation on an original scene from "All abou Eve" by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. An error happens and the moving image gets reframed.

Variation III: Your dinner-sir

"This food is really delicious. It's amazing what they can do in these planes."

Variation on the sunbeam

Variation in real time action of the classic work "The Sunbeam" from 1912 by David W. Griffith. The deconstruction of the original work makes possible the fragmentation but reorganization of the stage. The whole work becomes then a recreated choreography where the characters make the narrative wind on depending on their movements.

+ This short movie has been fetaured and/or reviewed in: Fandor by Kevin B Lee and David Bordwell, Audiovisualcy by Catherine Grant, Observation in film Art by Kristin Thompson, "A remarkable Vimeo discovery" by Roger Ebert, The Bioscope by Luke McKernan, Frames Cinema Journal by Katherine Groo, Cine Reclicado (Playtime audiovisuales)by Enrique Piñuel

Variation I: What do you mean?

Cyntia and Alan talk in a plane, but they seem not to understand each other.
