<description>DESCRIPTION: 2 Posters I've recent designed for the studio of the visual artist Monca Bonvicini.

1. Promotional poster for Monica Bonvicini's solo show DESIRE DESIESE DEVISE at Museum ABteiberg, Mönchengladbach, March-Mai 2012. It's a digital collage of details of two different works that sum up some recurrent themes and techniques in Bonvicini's work - stencil typography, use of text and quotes, dripping of black painting on big size b/w drawings. Off-set 4/4 colours print on glossy paper, cm 70 x 100.

2. Poster announcing the unveiling of Monica Bonvicini's permanent installation RUN in OlympiaPark, London. Due to the complexity and dimensions of the work a grid based layout putting has been thought, where several pictures of the work in all the phases of its production are put together. Digital print on glossy paper, cm 70 x 100.

MY WORK: Layout Concept and development, photo editing and postproduction.

CLIENT: Studio Monica Bonvicini, Berlin.

<description>DESCRIPTION: Phantom Records was a music label active in my hometown Tortona in the 80s. In 2005/2006 I interviewed one of the original founder members and after I "revived" the label with a series of records sleeves of ficitional bands. The series is part of the Deutsche Bank Art Collection since 2008. The project included fictional biography of the artists I had invented, but also collaborations, concerts and dj sets involving real musicians. This early project of mine features a big deal of the aesthetic, the themes and the approach that informs my later work as graphic designer, as publisher and as curator.

MY WORK: Concept, hand drawing, vector drawing, photo post production, development and finalization for the print.

CLIENT: self-initiated project.
