Reel 2010
This is my lastest demoreel:
Description: Victor Hugo and I were in charge of the VFX/CGI part of this TV Spot at O2 Films. We just had about 20 days after the montage approval to finish everything. So we had to split the job as needed. We went to the filming set and after it has ended we set the modeling team to start the job and after that Victor took the texture/lightining part and I started placing and animating the cameras across the proxy scene. I also assembled and animated the roaller coaster and developed the "base" particles simulation… We had about 7 CG professionals, 2 compositors and 3 roto.

Final Movie:
Description: I modeled, textured, animated and rendered the arrow, for this TV Commercial. Also I´ve animated some chunks of the trunk when the arrow hits it. The particles at the apple were done by another guy.
Description: This was my first job in a feature film. My role was to Unwrap and Texture this Seneca II airplane model. I also did the initial shading and worked on the paint over of a external shot, to match the texture of the new airplane.

Paint Over, before and after:
Description: Daniel Cestari and I were hired to create and animate a CG Baby for this Spot. I was in charge of the Rigging, animation, rendering and compositing.
Description: I was hired to do this Spot as a freelancer. I received the storyboard and the physical model of each shoe and I did pretty much everything in about 20 days, working at nights. The only thing that I haven't done was the modeling of the last shoe. I started modeling then I blocked an animatic and started working on the texture/shader and lights... Once I got the approvals, I moved to the composition. I've setup IDs Pass, Motion Vectors, and Ambient Occlusion with individual values per object to get the desired result.

Final movie:
Description: I was hired at O2 Films in march/2009 as a CG Generalist to work on this film, that is one of the official videos that represents the city of Rio de Janeiro to host the 2016 olympic games. I was primarily in charge of the Barra Cluster, that has tree main parts: Olympic Village, Media Center and Olympic Park.
It has no cuts, and is 2.284 frames long, so, the Tracking part was very hard, because, we start to see the whole Barra Cluster at the beggining of the video... But I've got a pretty good result, after a lot of work... :)
I did Tracking, Texturing, Lightning & Rendering, animated the cars, buses and used Vue to place and render the Trees. (Crowds was done in Massive by another person)
We had aproximately 2 months of production and I was lucky because after some time, I started to participate on meetings, and supervising the CG team (with Ricardo Bardal, Marcelo Souza and Victor Hugo) that had about 20 people.
Description: I Rigged, Animated and Rendered this dove to a TV Series called Sons of Carnival.
Description: I did all the shading, texturing, lightning & rendering of this TV Spot.
Description: Mio is a Fiat concept car, that has been shown at 26th International Automobile Trade Show 2010, and O2 Films produced a movie to show how the car would be intregated into the real world.
I created the Maya Shaders and the rig that was referenced in every maya scene. I also got some scenes to take care from start to finish.
In this shot I created all the lightining, projected the concept into 3D, created a lot of render passes/layers, tracked & animated the car and I also did the whole composition:
Here, I projected the concept created by João Bizaro into 3D, tracked the car, placed the lights, and rendered using Mental Ray. I created a lot of render passes/layers and used nuke reLight to add extra light after the 3D render has been done.
I used Mental Ray Mip_cameramap, HDRI, and some area lights to render this scene. In the shader I used Mib_Color_Mix to mix two shaders, this way I could get a nice soft glossy reflex blending on top of a very sharp reflection:
Take a look at this example of how we used nuke reLight:
Description: I´ve directed this TV Spot and I also did pretty much everything, from animation, rendering to compositing. The only thing that I hadn´t done was the modeling.

Final Movie:
Description: I was hired by Graphik Boutique UK to animate, light & render this smartphone to be used on a Web and TV promo.
Description: I had the opportunity to lead a small team of 7 professionals and we had about 2 months of production to do this TV Commercial.

final movie:
Description: Clara en foodland is a TV Series from Discovery Kids Mexico and Unilever. O2 was hired to do the second season, that is composed of 13 episodes with 7 minutes each. Our schedule was very tight, about 1 month for pre-production and more 3 months for the production.
We had a team of 33 people, and my role was the CG Direction, so, I took care of every single step of the production.
On pre-production I started working on the technical side, developing the rig, and Aline Lima, our TD, created an Auto Rig based on my rig. This way, we had a consistent rig across all the characters.
With the help of Radames Araujo the Animation Director, and programming of Aline Lima, I also developed the tools and scripts used in the production, like Render Tools, Synoptic Views, Poses, Animation Library and Folders Hierarchy.
Clara has 2.5D scenarios and the main characters were 3D with toon shading rendering. There are also 2D characters, that were part of Clara's dream.
I was in charge of the After Effects team too.
I´m very proud of the result that we´ve gotten, not only because of the improvements from the 1st season, but also, because the client liked it a lot.

Description: This is a very special job for me, because I had the opportunity to co-direct it... Although I like directing, what I enjoy the most is leading people and solving technical issues. So we researched a lot about the Origami's style and it was very useful, specially when we were animating things... Also I've modeled some props, did all the character rigging, animated transitions and compositing. We completed the whole spot with a small team (3 people including me) and we had about 20 days of production.
