Coco de Mer is a luxury erotic boutique specialising in designer lingerie, stylish sex toys and artisanal amorous products. Named after the rare and precious Coco de Mer palm seed which is only found on two islands in the Seychelles and unmistakably mirrors the female pelvis, the shop joins in natures celebration of all that is erotic, sensual and beautiful.

I chose to illustrate four of the ten categories on the website: Apothecary, Lingerie, Apparel &
Accessories and Books. The main themes of my illustrations are desire and female empowerment, based on the quote from Leopold von Sacher-Masoch’s novel ‘Venus in Fur’:

‘Man desires, woman is desired’.
