April 2010 (Oakland, CA) – Electronic duo ReRunner has announced the completion of their new EP titled On Three... available now on iTunes and set to hit stores on June 15th. On Three… is an intricate and fuzzy dance album with equal parts Crystal Castles, SebastiAn, and Cut Copy.
The group spent most of last year flexing their production skills on various collaborative projects, including a bonus track on Au Revoir Simone’s remix album Reverse Migration and a remix of Radiohead’s “Reckoner” that placed as a top-20 finalist in their RE/MIX contest (radioheadremix.com). ReRunner returned to the studio last Fall to direct their energy on a more dance oriented set of new tracks. The result is On Three… an EP that is instantly accessible and energetic, yet true to the group’s layered and experimental approach. Landing somewhere in the realm between club banger and analog noise, ReRunner shaped this new release of dense noise-pop by flushing it with hooky melodies and fiercely angular phrases and textures.
