Mi Platform Studio
Client: July Systems
July Systems’ Mi™ Platform allows producers to build rich, interactive mobile websites across devices in a quick and cost effective way. A part of the platform is the Site Builder tool, which works with pre-built modules. The Mi™ Platform Studio is a SaaS based publishing tool meant specifically for the creative or business teams that need to create destination sites, microsites and campaign sites quickly.
Innovations Database
Client: National Institute of Design in partnership with National Innovation Foundation, India
An attempt to digitize the abundant analog information of NIF's Innovations & Innovators to facilitate its easy and efficient access.
The UI prototype was created using Microsoft Visual Basic and illustrated cleaner information organization. Some of the features included were intuitive keyword-based search, spatial innovation locator through maps and a discussion platform for the innovators.
Automobile Driver Assistance System
Client: National Institute of Design
A handy device that could notify the driver about obstacles on the road, vehicle proximity and probable danger zones was conceptualized. Additionally, contextual information such as gas stations in proximity were also featured in the UI.
A non-intrusive mechanism to give these alerts was the central focus of the concept.
My Piece of Chennai
http://mypieceofchennai.org
'My Piece of Chennai' is a volunteer run, open-source internet initiative to provide Chennai residents with the necessary information, tools and support to help solve civic issues (such as issues of urban planning, uncleared garbage, non-functional street lights, etc), and help maintain their community effectively. The goal of the initiative is to help communities improve the conditions of their local environments, leading to improved quality of life, heath and well-being.
The initiative is envisioned as a website-driven tool that will help people create projects to solve neighborhood issues that concern the public. The project is still under development, and its design process snapshots are shown here.
