Peace and thanks for checking out my bio.
I've got the old soul of a travelling gypsy, and that is how I became enamoured with tattoos since the moment I became exposed to them by truckers and bikers out on the open road drifting up and down the east coast from Toronto to Miami since I was eight. The first tattoo I ever did was on myself at the age of 14 by way of "jail house style" using "two pins and some india ink."
Since the first time I picked up a pencil, drawing has been an enduring love in my life. When I was four I became obsessed with attempting to render graphic comic book characters out of the newspaper's weekend funny section. Around the same time, I became exposed to portrait style realistic drawing through one of my cousins and became inspired by his ability to really capture the essence of the people's faces he drew.
Overtime, I would become involved with different forms of art, like conte and charcoal drawing, acrylic painting and always retaining my love for what I consider art in it's purest form: the moment when pencil hits paper. I am also heavily influenced by the bold, bright and wildstyle of nyc street graffiti and over the last six years have become obsessed with the pure and smooth black-n-grey westcoast lowrider Chicano images and themes characteristic of Los Angeles. I hope that these influences are more than apparent in my work today.
I know this is where I'm meant to be at because I feel as though all of my life experiences; the good, the bad and the ugly have all culminated towards this one life endeavour and labour of love. Because I am able to do what I love and share that with all kinds of people all over the world, I am truly grateful.
