Un intense début d'année 2012 ! /// Tout d'abord, concernant le documentaire 75 ANS D'ESPRIT SPIROU. Produit par Media Res (Fred Decoux) pour les éditions Dupuis et la RTBF (ainsi que Cinétévé pour la France). Il s'agit d'une exploration sur l'esprit Spirou, l'école de Marcinelle, et globalement un certain sens de la BD. Des scènes de fictions, des interviews, des archives... Côté interview, nous avons 17 intervenants, avec entre autres : Jidéhem, Emile Bravo, Jean-Claude Fournier, Zep, Raoul Cauvin, Fred Jannin, Jacqueline Dupuis, Thierry Tinlot, Tome & Janry, ... Nous avons rendu un pré-montage mi-décembre, le film est fait à 75%, et nous finaliserons le montage au courant de l'année, une fois que l'on saura quelle est la durée définitive. /// Une première pour moi : j'écris un livret de spectacle musical ! Il s'agit de SALUT LES COPAINS : LE SPECTACLE MUSICAL , produit par Lagardère Unlimited Live Entertainment (Jérôme Langlet et son équipe). La mise-en-scène sera de Stéphane Jarny, avec qui j'avais travaillé sur les chorégraphies du clip de Gonzales ! Les billets sont dors et déjà en vente, le spectacle débute le 18 octobre 2012 aux Folies Bergère ! Il ne s'agit pas d'une revue ou d'un tour de chants de vénérables idoles, non, mais bien d'une histoire originale, avec des personnages que j'ai imaginé, sur fond d'émission SLC et de magazine. Le modèle est le format "à la Broadway", avec 50/50 entre chant et comédie. Travail énorme, différent, et excitant. /// Notre BD LA VALLÉE (histoire et scénario moi, dessins de Martin Trystram) avance, en beauté. Voir ci-contre quelques aperçus... Nous visons toujours une sortie courant 2012, chez Dupuis. /// Je suis en pré-production d'une série de documentaires prime time pour France 3 (4x110') sur la chanson française, provisoirement intitulé CES CHANSONS QUI NOUS RESSEMBLENT. il s'agit de parcourir en thématiques, les chansons, leur lien avec la vie des français, et les anecdotes de créations desdites chansons. Beaucoup d'archives, qui illustreront les sujets des chansons, mais aussi de nombreuses interviews d'artistes, amis aussi d'auteurs, plus rare. Ainsi que des saynètes de fiction qui lient l'ensemble. C'est l'occasion de mixer mon expérience en clips, docs, et fiction. Et c'est avec joie que je réalise ces films avec Guillaume et Maryvonne chez Kcraft, mes producteurs de BLEX ! France 3, en la personne de Marie-Claire Mezerette, me fait à nouveau confiance, c'est un plaisir. /// Je suis également en pré-production d'une série de docs (toujours pour France 3) sur PARIS MATCH, produit par Electron Libre. Produced by Media Res (Fred Decoux) for Dupuis Publishing, RTBF, and a soon to be announced french producer. It is an exploration of the Spirou spirit, the Marcinelle school of comics, and more generally a creation idea of comics. Fiction, interviews and TV archives make up for the content. For the interviews, we have, so name a few : Jidéhem, Emile Bravo, Jean-Claude Fournier, Zep, Raoul Cauvin, Fred Jannin, Jacqueline Dupuis, Thierry Tinlot, Tome & Janry, ... We’ve finished a first cut mid december, the film is done by 75%, and we will finish the editing sometimes during the year, once we know what’s the définitive duratio of the film. /// A first for me : I’m writing the book of a musical ! This is SALUT LES COPAINS : LE SPECTACLE MUSICAL , produced by Lagardère Unlimited Live Entertainment (Jérôme Langlet). It will be directed by Stéphane Jarny, who did the choregraphy for me on the Gonzales music video ! Tickets are on sale, and the show premières on october 18th 2012 at the Folies Bergère (Paris) ! This is not a revue nor a concert with the actual « idoles », but a real original story with characters I created, mixed with SLC radio show and magazine stories. The model is a Broadway style musical with an equal mix of comedy and singing. A lot of work, different, exciting. /// My comics LA VALLÉE (drawn by Martin Trystram) is moving along. Next to this text, you’ll see some iamges. We’re targeting a release sometimes in 2012, published by Dupuis. /// I’m in the middle of pre-production for a series of prime time documentaries (4x110’) on french songs, tentatively titled CES CHANSONS QUI NOUS RESSEMBLENT. We’ll gather gréât songs thematically, their link with the french culture and social concerns, and anecdotes on the genesis of those songs. A lot of TV archives, illustrating the subject covered by the songs, but also many interviews with artists and composers (more rarely seen on TV). There will be fiction scenes, tightening everything together. This is somewhat an occasion for blending what I know about the art of music vidéos, documentaries, and fiction. And I’m happy to work with Guillaume and Maryvnne from Kcraft, my producers for my featur efilm project, BLEX !
