Sculpture (2009)
The work on this page is from the 2009-2010 freshman school year, where I first began exploring three-dimensional form. These particular 'sculptures' are explorational attempts to bring 2-D concepts into a 3-D format and should be viewed as experimental 3-D sketches.
"Ghost," or "Virginia." String and gauze on wire form. 2009.
"Frailty." Miniature polymer clay sculpture with acrylic skin tone & texture. 2009.
"Ritual Dolls to Feed the Dead." Polymer clay, cloth and embroidery thread with beeswax, hair, clay, glass, fur, and venus flytrap filling. 2009.
"Four Chambers to Fully Process A Forest of Guilt," or "Firefly Gut." Cloth and wire form with christmas lights. 2009.
"Test." Beeswax, felt, and dirt. 2009.
The following pieces are two-dimensional works which contain sculptural qualities.
"Vile Blossom." Oil on canvas. 2009.
"Pinned/Dissect." Ink on watercolor paper with nails. 2009.
