For Immediate Release....

Palimpsest Magazine announces its participation in this year’s Pop Montreal festival, courtesy of the Art Pop segments programming. The festival runs from September 27th to October 3rd. Palimpsest will be hosting two exhibitions:

Part one - we will curate a selection of artists’ books to run alongside Montreal’s PICA magazine’s selection of design based publications, in an exhibition hosted by Yves Laroche Galerie D'Art. All items included in the exhibition will also be for sale.
Participants include Mousse Magazine/Publishing, 38TH ST Publishers, Motto Berlin, and more.

Part two - In residency at DHC/ART's REFERENCE space in Old Montreal, we will produce a daily broadsheet publication responding to the festival goings-ons. This publication will aim to develop experimental methodologies of documentation and engagement in the interest of exploring new forms of discourse beyond those typical to the hyper-personal, reified context of a music festival. Participants include author Jacob Wren, Edmonton's poet laureate Rollie Pemberton, visual artist Jacqueline Lachance, and more.
