After working in the publishing industry for three years, I'm now a graphic design MFA student at Indiana University. In addition to becoming a better designer overall, I am expanding my skills in the web and multimedia design realms. Many of my projects involve science communication, a field in which innovative, efficient design is always needed.
I am the current Glaubinger Fellow for the Indiana University Art Museum, designing print materials, ads, and exhibit graphics. I also volunteer some of my time to the Indiana Raptor Center, which rehabs injured birds of prey and educates the public about the importance of environmental conservation.
My aspiration to contribute to good science communication stems from a lifelong love of nature. I've written about dinosaurs at the blog Love in the Time of Chasmosaurs since August 2009. I sell t-shirts of my designs at my Orogenic shop at Cafepress and run a growing Etsy print shop called Terrier Mountain.
Freelance inquiries are always greeted happily and can be sent to orogenicdesign(at)gmail(dot)com, and feel free to check in with me at Twitter, and Flickr, as well.
