Plug In

I'd known for years that for my senior thesis that I wanted to examine video game controversy. It has been a topic that has held my interest for years, and I have always wanted to create my own sort of "campaign" on the subject. Plug In is the result. Plug in strives to give parents the information needed to make their own informed decisions on what video games are most appropriate for their family. It puts the responsibility of what children play in parents hands as opposed to the gaming industry. The mission of Plug In reads as follows.

The goal of plug in is to promote a responsible attitude towards games. Despite the fact that they have been around for decades, video games are still viewed as something unfamiliar, strange, or even corrupt. But lately, games have found themselves in more households than ever and are being played by people of all ages. With the way things are, people need to be aware of the place that video games are taking in our society and be more educated about the choices they make when purchasing them.

The full project consisted of a flash based website, two posters, a book, packaging for family game packs, stickers, business card, ESRB and parental control pocket reference, and one very large wall vinyl.
