Snooker and Pool Club uses gaffa tape to create an eye level sign, Cambridge Heath, London

Hand painted sign using stencils to create a knock out effect, Soho, London, UK.

The sign on the window was the idea of my boss, Simon Crisp, who is constantly coming up with ways to publicise the store on our slim budget. We are an independent shop and needed to advertise our printer supplies in order to compete with larger businesses nearby.
We created the effect by printing letters onto clear adhesive film. I found the phone silhouette on Google Images and enlarged it for our purposes. I cut everything out and Simon stuck them onto the window and then painted over them. When the paint was dry, he peeled away the film and cleaned off any glue residue.
We have since painted the bottom of the window dark blue, leaving blank squares so that we can insert posters advertising in-store promotions. – Mary Thomas

A record store in Soho, London, created a befitting piece of signage out of individually laminated A4 print-outs

A 30% discount sign made from A4 sheets of white paper in a gardening store in Kennington, London.

For the last few years i've been splashing paint all over the windows and I thought that the good people of Kennington deserved better. So I thought I'd do something a bit prettier; just put something up a bit more special, so I decided to cut out bits of white paper. It's really pretty at night because the water marks on the paper light up at night from the light within the shop and it looks like a Japanese painting.
