Lucas Maassen & Sons
bring us this wonderfully simple furniture created by father Lucas Maassen & his 3 sons, Thijme (9), Julian (7) and Maris (7). His Sons are responsible for the paint job of the furniture which is built in the factory. They get paid 1 Euro for every piece of furniture they paint. Great idea. Great work.

The first set of SleepyFace pillows are done! Check them out here.

Well the book is coming along pretty well, and while I was out gathering fabric for other projects I had the idea to start making throw pillows of my character faces. This is a preview of my first one :)

The Kid Should See This
is a great collection of "kid-friendly" videos and photos that explore music, art, science (as a kid, I actually wanted to be a paleontologist), technology, storytelling & assorted good stuff in ways that are interesting and engaging for kids (and adults too!). I definitely enjoy the cross-pollination of the many different ways of exploring the world around us and how they all work together.
These videos, taken from TKSST, are just a small sampling of some of the interesting stuff on the site.

Atlanta's own Yokoo. Glad to see this caliber of craftswoman is right in my very own backyard.

Been a bit transfixed by this song by First Aid Kit. One of my favorite photographers & filmmakers, Neil Krug, has done an amazing job capturing the album photos.

What Katie Ate has to be one of the best things.... ever. A beautiful collection of photography, not to mention a never-ending stream of delicious meals and confectionery creations.

Great video.

Cabin Porn features a frequently updated collection of cabins from around the world. What's always captivating about these homes is not only their beauty but their homeliness & functionality with the nature that surrounds them.

I recently started dabbling with a bit of sculpting again, it's been a while since I've done it so I'm interested to see what this will turn out to be...

This Must Be The Place is a documentary series that explores how we define "home" & gives a glimpse into a few unique spaces that some have made into a world all their own.

Makers & Brothers is one of my new favorite projects to follow. Positioned as "an online retail venture founded on simple things; the handmade, objects of integrity, contemporary vernaculars, a curation of everyday design and craft", the presentation of the work they produce is clever and makes me feel right at home.

Loving the simple, fun & playful work from Weekday Carnival. Can't help but smile looking through their collection.

Working on an illustrated children's book filled with short stories, poems & plenty of doodles...
