About James Crothers
I was born in Hackensack, New Jersey in October of 1983, and lived in near by Kearny until the early 90's when I moved to then budding shore community called Forked River. Growing up an hour from both New York and Philadelphia afforded me many luxuries, such as two NBC affiliates, an extreme biased against Philly sports teams, and the convenience of traffic from both cities. After high school I made my way south by way of sherpa and rickshaw to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. After getting over the culture shock, and the acceptance of extreme student debt, I hunkered down and worked on my craft, eventually graduating Cum Laude and earning my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Broadcast Design and Motion Graphics.
In the summer of 2005, I headed in the direction of my upbringing, but missed it by several hundred miles landing at what was then Spirit Creative (now simply Team) where I was the Senior Designer over seeing projects of all shapes and sizes. Since joining, the department has earned four gold BDAs and has been featured in such illustrious publications as Boards Magazine.
Since then, I've moved on to work on my own as a freelance designer. the focus of my work is to take a problem, and solve it in the most unique way possible. I enjoy collaborating with our clients to produce a product that they not only like, but can also be genuinely proud to say is theirs. This is my work. Please enjoy.
