Corporate Social Responsibility

On the 1 of May i take my one man demonstration to the main shopping street of Copenhagen. I am going to improve conditions for workers around the world by means of critical consumption.
My banners will be the slogans of the multinational companies and "Because you`re worth it" will no longer sound hollow when I ask about the conditions of production for everything that I let myself be tempted by.
My credit card will be heard

My demonstration starts out peacefully at the town hall square in Copenhagen.

Corporate Social Responsibility / Part 2

I stand in the entrance at Mcdonalds with the Burger King`slogan "Have it your way" to let people know that if you are not satisfied with the way a company treats its employees you can always go somewhere else, that is called consumer power ! but before I even talk to anyone or get to the counter I get kicked out. Apparently you cannot take photos at Mcdonalds (possibly to protect the employees)

Corporate Social Responsibility / Part 3.

I take my Loreal slogan to the Body Shop (which is owned by Loreal) I ask the staff if they know that a former employee (Beyonce) was washed white with photoshop in an advertisement from 2008 ... we laugh a little but I do not get an answer. We have changed tactics and are now taking pictures with a mobile phone after I was kicked out of a Mac store too.
I still have not purchased anything.

Corporate Social Responsibility / Part 4.

Granted my demonstration has lost its glow and my credit card is cold and unused in my pocket.
I end my story with a picture of the sign that got me kicked out of the Mac store.
A slogan they no longer stand by.
The C.S.R. movement might return next year but with alot more members and then they will have a really hard time refusing to take our money.
