Rêve Series

Dreams are a series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. I’ve been able to capture my recurring dreams through a different variety of stages, thus enabling me to connect with the physical world and the surreal subconscious. My dream development of each character is through a series of more than one dream; the stories of these characters develop entirely through communication and interaction. My recurring dreams take place over a time span of different weeks and months. Effecting how I critically view people and the world around me.

By analyzing the characters in my dreams, I find a striking correlation to the real world that is universal. My dreams are composed of dynamic characters ranging from men to women, young and old as they live ordinary lives. While the content of the dream stays the same, the narration and experiences tend to differ over distinctive occasions of sleep.

The majorities of the characters in the dream are all related to each other by circumstances of homicide, suicide, murder and depression. Each has a compelling story about them of how they got to their current and present form. So like a time capsule, each character has been preserved at their highest peak of metamorphosis.
