During June 2010 I attended Broby Grafiska design school in Sweden. It was absolutely freaking amazing! The equipment the students had access to would blow the mind of any Aussie design student (I had to scrape mine off the fancy packaging-cutter-whirly-gig when i saw it!)
Delilah Tea is a boutique product I created while attending Broby Grafiska. I wanted the packaging design to steer completely away from the clean crisp tea packaging design that we're used to seeing, as a point of difference i guess. I used soft pastel water-colours for the background and browns to give the effect of splashed tea. The logo is a simple type that lends itself to the overall hand-made feel.
I had never used CAD to create packaging before, so I wanted to make something cool yet achievable. In the second last photo on this page you can see the internal part of the box I designed. The idea is that the teabags hang inside the box and you simply pull the tag and make yourself a delicious cup of Delilah!
