The Rrround seat, Made with Arttu Kuisma, is made out of approximately 240 square metres of discarded exhibition carpet, all rolled together into a armchair. The look of the armchair can be altered by using carpets of different colours. The main idea is to use recycled exhibiton carpet, because it is normally discarded after one use. Finnish fairs produce approximately 1 000 000m2 carpet waste each year.

The RRROUND seat won the 1st prize in the Habitare ´10 design competition. The theme of the competition was “Recycled Seat” and the winning piece was chosen by Swiss designer and professor Alfredo Häberli. This is how he explained his choice:

“What do you get when you roll up 250 m2 of recycled exhibition carpet? The idea and the solution are as evident as our presence here at the fair. There is nothing to add to it”.

The Frank & Moe lamp concept is an interactive lamp with a personality. A big part of this project was to create an interesting interface that communicated with the shape of the object and worked in a passive and active state. Made with Kristian Aarseth
