Hello all! I'm Mat Tonelli and I was born and bred in Worcester, MA and currently live in Philadelphia, PA. I attended the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and obtained Bachelor of Fine Arts in both Painting and Printmaking, as well as a minor in Art History.

In my work, I combine intense color theory practices to printmaking and painting techniques to create mixed-media abstractions which express interpretations of various influences and experiences. These influences include color, music, decor, film, kinetics, fashion, personal events and countless other applications of creativity. By using careful layering of shapes and pattern, print and paint, and various color palettes, I am continuously searches for new things in the world which inspire myself to respond and react to visually.
