Wegmisbruikers
Brief
The ANWB is a dutch association which is well-known from their national roadside assistance for cars. A lot of people think that the roadside assistance is the only thing they do. But they have a lot of other initiatives to support people on the road, during their holiday or other leisure activities. Our job was to create attention around one of these initiatives: ANWB Streetwise. With this program the ANWB helps kids to learn about traffic rules and gives them tips how to get to school safely.
Solution
We will collaborate with the national TV Show ‘Wegmisbruikers’. In this prograderm an uncover patrol car follows troublemakers on the road. When the camera in the car caught everything on tape, they let the driver pull over and confront him with his brutalities. Before they say goodbye they will get a nice ticket presented. But during one episode we make some adjustments:
After the undercover patrol car caught the drivers violations on tape, they will give them the stop sign.
The drivers will be surprised when they pull over. Because it is not a police officer showing up at their side window, but a smart ass 8 year old kid. The kid will tell him exactly what he did wrong and which fine he will get.
Everybody will think: ‘how do these kids know all the traffic rules?’ Right. Thanks to the ANWB Streetwise program. And the brutal drivers? They will think twice before making mistakes. The show ends with a small advertisment about the ANWB Streetwise program.
