About mark sherborne
I take photos. I could never draw, so photos seemed like the next best thing. Plus I work in strategy and marketing, so I need some sort of balance of mind.

I am fascinated with the role of projections, and natural frames in an image and these have became preferred aesthetic choices of mine.

The first sets of professional photos I took were at the APEC protest in Sydney in 2007. The energy of this protest was both moving and frightening. Every 30 minutes the stand off between the police and public would breakdown resulting in a media scrum. Exciting stuff.

In 2008 I was hired for 10 days to shoot the Popes visit to Sydney. From there I went on a trip to The Peoples Republic of Iran. It was a 3-week experiment where I was entirely unsure regarding the rules of taking photos in public. The trip resulted in some great shots from a distance and this trip taught me that to appropriately capture a subject or an experience you must be part of it.

I have taken press shots for Australia musicians including The Tongue, Bag Raiders, VanShe & Bang Gang Deejays

I have shot gigs of some pretty sweet artists including Big Boi, Architecture in Helsinki, The Klaxons, Medhi, and festivals including V Festival, Parklife, Good Vibrations, Field Day blah blah.

I am the exclusive press, media and event photographer for Qantas Airways.

I shoot on the event front for a bunch of fairly fancy brands and entities including NSW Tourism, Chivas Regal, Nina Maya, Tiger Beer, Mumm Champagne, Saturday Indesign and Sunseeker Motor Yachts.
I am currently shooting food and drink photography for a food blog theduxford.com as well new Sydney venues The Norfolk, Flinders Hotel & Duke Bistro.

Plus some stuff for the US based 'Lost In A Supermarket'
