Marcelo nasceu em 25 de janeiro de 1977 em Rio Grande -RS. Começou a carreira em um estúdio de design em 1995, enquanto estudava Arquitetura & Urbanismo. De lá, foi ser assistente de fotografia antes de começar a estagiar na agência Escala de Porto Alegre, em 1998, onde iniciou no mercado publicitário. Ainda em Porto Alegre, trabalhou na agência Competence, até ir para São Paulo.
Na capital paulista desde 2001, passou pelas agências NeogamaBBH, Loducca, Publicis e atualmente trabalha na DM9DDB. Nelas fez campanhas para clientes como VIVO, Cerveja Bohemia, iG, Banco Itaú, Cartão Dinners, J&J, Brastemp, C&A, entre outros. Alguns desses trabalhos estão presentes em publicações e premiações nacionais e internacionais de criação. Em 2003, fez parte da delegação dos Youngs Creatives em Cannes. Também desenvolveu projetos pessoais como exposições de fotografia, marca do Sistema Paulista de Música da Secretaria de Cultura do Estado de SP e vários projetos de editorial e design, além de ser professor da MiamiAdSchool/ESPM.
Marcelo was born on January 25th, 1977 in Rio Grande- R.S., Brazil. He began his career in a design studio in 1995, while studying Architecture and Urban design. Later he was photography assistant before beginning as trainee in the Escala agency in Porto Alegre, in 1998, where he began in the field of advertising. While still in Porto Alegre, he also worked with the Competence agency, up until moving to Sao Paulo.
In Sao Paulo since 2001, he has worked as Art Director for the agencies NeogamaBBH, Loducca, Publicis and DM9DDB, his current agency. While working in Sao Paulo he has created campaigns for such clients as VIVO, Cerveja Bohemia, iG, Banco Itau, Cartao Dinners, J&J, Brastemp, C&A, et.al. Some of these jobs are present in both national and international publications and awards for creation. In 2003, he took part in the delegation for Young Creatives in the Cannes Festival. He also developed personal projects such as photography exhibitions, various editorial and design projects, in addition to being a University Professor at MiamiAdSchool.
