I'm graphic designer and illustrator from Dublin in Ireland. I've recently completed my BA in Hons Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communications at Dublin Institute of Technology, June 2011 achieving second class honours overall. In March 2011 I was awarded 3rd place in Ireland for the Tree Council of Ireland poster competition. In September 2010 I was chosen to design for the Irish Pavilion Exhibition in the World Expo, Shanghai, China 2010.

I've been working as a freelance designer for 4 years, experimenting with different media, clients and skills. I've been working closely with Cork City Partnership and Cork City Council developing a few designs for various projects they are running. The latest one is a design waiting to be explored for the Roma Research Project Cork.

I had fun with this project, stalking people around Dublin, playing paparazzi, raised a few eyebrows, few threats, here and there but in the end I turned some of these people in what I thought and saw their inner clown could be. I created a different parallel universe and extracted a different way in viewing people.

This project revolves around the Roma community in Ireland. This project sets out to disguise a Roma gypsy's facade and teach people about their culture, aspirations and who they are as people. This project aims of receiving a balanced and neutral response from the public towards an easier and more accepted integration within the Irish community.
This project is in the process of being developed further and I am currently working with the Cork City Partnership.

This is a print project revolving around the area of drugs. I hypothetically invented a 6th column of the 'Rehabilitation program' in Ireland's Drug Strategy Plan.

My idea amalgamates the learning of plants and botanics, through a SWOT analysis.

After a college trip to Shanghai, China, we were told to pick a subject that interested us and visualise it. I chose the topic and issue of China's one child policy.

This was a college project were we were asked to choose any fairytale and design a children's story book. Instead I chose a poet, which is known for his fairy tale like poems - so i chose Robert Frost's poem 'Design'

The images may look very illustrative, but they are all a mix of objects, food, photographs and people. I illustrated this poem with vibrant colours pertaining to children, and used 'depth' to apply to adults, a metaphorical meaning between the sexes in society.

The poem Design by Robert Frost

I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,
On a white heal-all, holding up a moth
Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth --
Assorted characters of death and blight
Mixed ready to begin the morning right,
Like the ingredients of a witches' broth --
A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth,
And dead wings carried like a paper kite.

What had that flower to do with being white,
The wayside blue and innocent heal-all?
What brought the kindred spider to that height,
Then steered the white moth thither in the night?
What but design of darkness to appall?--
If design govern in a thing so small.
