Amplificação is a different award. Every year CD's from the main Rio de Janeiro's agencies are invited to write a radio spot to a selected NGO. They are all made by the same producer called "Silence" and judged by well known names of brazlian advertising.

To ask the Creative Directors to take part of the Amplificação Award we delivered a fake Bible to the best 25 of them. Inside of it they receive a personal website adress, where they can watch a Devil message enumerating the many evilness they did along their career, ending with a job proposal. After that a cartoon like Christ, explains everything with the campaign main tagline "You have been evil but you can still redeem yourself. Take part of this year Amplificação Award that will help the child for "Make a Wish" NGO.

Carnival blocks are the biggest expression of Rio de Janeiro carnival. In 2011 5 million people went to the streets with almost 500 different carnival blocks.


With the expressive raise in the number of carnival blocks in Rio, there’s been also a raise in the number of disoriented people about which carnival blocks to go and most importantly: the exact location of the chosen ones. Using the location GPS’ technology, the user will be able to find out where’s the carnival block’s sound car, in real time. This way, revelers won’t waste time looking for carnival blocks around the wrong streets and the citizen expecting to escape from revelry and traffic will know exactly which streets to avoid.

Beyond the real time location service, the app will also work as an agenda, where the revelers will be able to list the carnival blocks they intend to enjoy and receive both sound and visual reminders, moments before their beginning. While in the carnival block, users can check-in on facebook, foursquare and twitter, showing their location by disclosing the app’s hashtag #FINDMYBLOCO

Many international hits only achieve success in Brazil once a singer launches its Portuguese version. That happens because great part of the public do not speak English and therefore, cannot understand the original songs.

To show people that switching from one language to another is easier than it seems, Cultura Inglesa language school developed an intervention where listeners hearing music at a certain radio station were invited to interact with the radio programming, by changing the dial.
