I made this website as a project with a friend for the University. Our clients were the Director of the Communications Department Lic. Mercedes Victorica and the Director of the Information Technology Management Lic. Mirentxu Eizaguirre from the Universidad Católica del Uruguay (Catholic University of Uruguay).

The project was part of the a course to receive the Analist title. Our tutor was Alejandro Rodriguez (Database expert from the University).

The objective was to design and prototype a system to cover all the student/professor/other's information surrounding the University environment in such a way that all the information it is not stored in this system. It has the ability to connect to the University's systems (using web services) to acquire all the needed information. It was modeled in a way that it is open to include more systems in the future as needed. This last feature was especially made to give the system a very important level of flexibility to get from a new data field to a whole new section on the front end.

It includes some social network features to involve the student with the University environment, such as groups (with friends to complete a group work or general to get people with shared interests), a personal agenda (to include University's events or personal -with the ability to share them with all or some-), and other features.

I decided to upload this project because I liked it a lot and we were really proud with the final results as well as the University.
