KRISTOFFER VILLARINO | DIRECTOR | EDITOR | Kristoffer Villarino began his career in Cebu, Philippines directing and editing music videos for bands like Urbandub, Sheila and the Insects, Dice & K9 and many more. As a Fine Arts student at the University of San Carlos in Cebu, he wrote and directed Binaliw, which was a finalist at the 2nd .MOV International Digital Film Festival and won second prize at the 15th Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video in the narrative category.
He has edited international features for Bigfoot Entertainment which includes the DVD hit Midnight Movie, which won Best Feature Film at the 10th Chicago Horror Film Festival and was hailed DVD of the month by Fangoria Magazine; and Hui Lu (Irreversi), a Chinese dramatic thriller which played in 700 theaters in China. USS Cooper: Return to Ormoc Bay, a documentary he co-edited was nominated for Best Documentary at the 3rd Asian Festval of First Films. He also edited a British short film called You Me and Captain Longbridge featuring the voice of Joseph Fiennes, which screened in several film festivals around the world.
Kristoffer Villarino has worked on productions in the US, Hongkong, and Singapore, and has worked with film professionals from all over the world. He now juggles his time between editing and directing. He recently helmed a TV commercial featuring Youtube stars Moymoy Palaboy and edited 9000 Needles, a documentary co-executive produced by John Cusack, all in the confines of his native Cebu.
