A day with Mr. Shimabukuro.
姫路には姫路城の他に島袋隆史という男がいる。彼は循環農業を学ぶべく大分の畑で１年半の修行を終えたばかりだった。１０キロやせて黒くなってた島袋はコーベ・ブライアンに似てた。俺と並んで歩いてたら恐らくフィリピンかなんかからの出稼ぎと思われたでしょう。彼はいま学んだすべてを試すべく自分で野菜と米を作ってる。そんな彼と自然の恵みについて、人間の壁を超え、自分の排出物を肥料にする極自給自足な生活の喜びなどについて語った。いま一緒にワクワクするプロジェクト進行中なので乞うご期待。隆史、素敵な時間をありがとう！
There is something special in Himeji other than the Himeji castle. His name is Takashi Shimabukuro. He has just finished a year and half training of sustainable agricultural practice in the mountains of Ooita. Through the days of living with the soil, water and the sun, he has lost 22 pounds and is completely black. He now looks like Kobe and we together looked like a "dekasegi" from the Philippines or something. He is now testing his skills by producing his own rice and vegetables. We talked about the blessing of nature and what's it's like to use your own waste as fertilizer to produce true sustainable organic crops. We are currently working on a exciting project.
