Wildplakken Verboden
Project voor de posterwedstrijd in Chaumont. Het thema was, Graphic design in public space: an active form. De opdracht; Make and "intervention" in public space with printed matter, based on the principle of repetition.

When starting this project I was thinking about rules, and how there are so many things you can’t do without permission. Rules about traffic, rules in your social life and even rules in art. I wanted to do something exciting, break a rule, take a risk. I didn’t only wanted to break a rule, but I also wanted to emphasize the rule I was breaking. I chose to go flyposting, wich is ofcourse ille gal in Amsterdam, and created a simple poster design wich in 4 languages tells you that is is in fact illegal to do flyposting. But just pasting it on a wall wasn’t enough. I wanted to hand it over as a gift to the city of Amsterdam. So I decided I would giftwrap items in the city. Armed with a bucket of wallpaper paste, a brush and my posters, I went on the street. This is the result of 2 nights walking around in my hometown, with a new way of seeing things. And yes, I finally felt like I was breaking the rules!
