HREINDYR I FRAMJOS
Model: Thomas Hörl, Visual Artist from Austria.
I met Thomas at the SIM Residency in 2010. Thomas shared his love of nature, landscape and recent thesis exhibition with me. He had created an installation that he visualized as an interpretation of a deer, moose, reindeer stemming from cultural mythology of Austria.
Thomas was my first model for a series of masks I was creating in the three-month residency at SIM.
I thank him for being the starting point for future research projects that I embarked on during the window of time that I inhabited Room #6 on Seljavegur.
