Performance work and Light Box Installation
My practice is always evolving but is primarily centered on portraiture or self-portraiture that takes a probing look into the lives of others living in modern ghettos or communities. I choose to include landscape as the subject. I believe that I am auspiciously revealing that my work is in many ways still about people, but it is now about the way that people psychologically shape the places they inhabit. I am concerned by the way in which meaning is constructed and transmitted though language and the way in which we interact and define our relationships with one another and with the world beyond the perimeters of our own bodies.
The two-channel video installation stems from a performance in Park Mont-Royal, a landmark situated in the heart and centre of Montreal composited with visual and audio research gathered from the internet that embodies an aspect of modern-day story telling.
