D&AD Typographic Circle brief
The annual D&AD Awards are recognized throughout the world. They set the absolute reference standard for creative excellence.
In the 2012 category for Graphic Design, sponsored by Pentagram, the brief was to create a supplement for The Typographic Circle, focusing on talks given by renowned designers, writers and typographers.
The publications were designed to attract and conveys sense of belonging within the circle. The Typographic Circle looks to be an organization that brings together like-minded people who share an interest in type, and have stressed that they want to be seen as inviting and sociable.
The packaging was silk screened with neon colors to look inviting and the wax seals added to bring out the exclusivity of the supplement and to provide a personal feel to the entire package.
Our group (Devin Japiter, Germaine, Chen, Jolene Siow and Reza San) has also bagged the Best of Year Award for the Graphic Design category. Horray!
