Biography

Joseph consults independently and for design and branding companies like: Pentagram, Siegel + Gale, McCann Worldwide, and Collins:. He has worked on projects for clients like Bloomberg, Chrysler, HP, Museum of Art and Design, The North Face, Princeton University, SAP, Special Olympics, and Verizon.

Over the years Joseph has helped start-up companies grow with strategy, branding and experience design. Where he solved challenges for start-ups in diverse fields like biotech, renewable energy, search, fashion, media, web-based apps, and mobile apps.

Joseph received a BFA in Graphic Design from Indiana University in 2004. He attended graduate school at The School of Visual Arts in New York City where he earned a MFA in Design in 2008.

Currently, Joseph is on the faculty at New York University and Queens College, where he teaches design courses on topics like design thinking, branding, interaction design, experience design and design strategy. He lectures across the country on topics like the tangible vs. intangible, intuitive design research, type design and empathetic design.
