Here's an example that a joke that got a little out of hand. My friends and I started a blog poking fun at Chicago neighborhoods. Through the magic of social media (as well as some traditional media) we got a few thousand followers in just a couple months, and they kept asking us to do this neighborhood, do that neighborhood. Then soon they wanted us to sell these as posters. So we did. We opened up an Etsy shop and had a booth at the Holiday Renegade Craft Fair.
