Non-provisional Transitions
Non-provisional Transitions (the additive & subtractive nature of a nutritional disconnect)
// A piece that I did for the MIA in "Foot in the Door" 2010
Exploring the ubiquitous "transition" or "wipe" as a pristine packaging device for disconnected way in which we look at meat at the grocery store, "bundled" "packaged", "perfect" almost "pretty" and disconnected from it's true original life form. (Each of the images is a raw animal food product.) I find this interesting as much of our modern and packaged "food" is largely visually and emotionally removed from it's original true form and quite often it's original nutrients are removed as well due to modern processing.
