What is Haemobility?

Awarded Social Impact Student Notable Prize in Core 77 Awards 2013 and Stephen Pheasant Memorial Fund Design Award for Ergonomics in Helen Hamlyn Design Awards 2013.

Haemobility is a project showcasing innovations in the future mobile blood donation service in the UK. The project aims to increase participation in blood donation, while revolutionising the mobile blood donation experience for people.

The three main project outcomes are a simple and intuitive blood type tester, a hypermobile blood donation trolley and a new needle device.

The project has been conducted over three months by four postgraduate students from Innovation Design Engineering, a joint Masters between the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London.
