∅ Since I was a kid, i allways been fascinated by the power of fire. At 8 years old i burned my mother's storefront by accident, when i was trying to burn the paper that was covering it. In that time i was just fascinated by the smell of burned paper, but years later, also by accident, when i was making some research for a work on college, I rediscovered the fire again. I developed concepts about time, memories, ageing, the process in which these things vanish and so, the fire became a metaphor to this process. My paintings are all burned, and they disappear through time. colors vanish and one day, they will be definitely dead. So is the most part of my drawings.
Fire give an imprint to the media, paper, steel, video, etc, the same way an extreme thought emerge and erodes on our minds.
All this has a strict relationship with the idea of scar.
