Plakkies: Stop donating. Start buying
Challenge: Create a new way of fundraising for Kidsrights because it's difficult to get a clear picture of where your donations go to.
A factory was set up in South Africa producing flip flops based on traditional handcrafts. The flip flops are sold in Western Europe. All profit goes to the factory workers and their families.
We created a campaign as authentic as the product itself. We promoted a local factory worker to marketing manager for Plakkies and created all the campaign materials in cooperation with him and local people.
