About Me
Hi, I'm Gemma and I'm a freelance illustrator living in the hustle and bustle of London. Having achieved a BA Illustration degree at Middlesex University, I have completed an internship with Creative Review, have worked as an illustrator/book editor with SketchBook Magazine, as well as an in-house illustrator for EBR Media. I have also been a part of several exhibitions as well as part of a collective that hosted an Art Auction Night. I am now working on childrens illustration, with my first book 'The Bubble Dragons' published as an Ebook with Flying Books Publishing, and 2 titles - 'The Tea Party Book and 'The Garden Book', with Tickle Teasers Publishers, as well as several other titles ( in collaboration with other writers) under my belt.
Clients have included UpperCase Magazine, Eat Me Magazine, Edu-Play Theater, TigerPrint/Marks and Spencer, MouthLondon, 'Handmade By Hippos', CanLifestyle and The Quick Word Company. My work incorporates collage with 'found' elements, such as photography or real objects, as well as printed imagery and textures.
I love paper and knitting, and have a cat called Katie.
