Typography and illustration explorations solely based on three objects: boyscouts, jade, and cranes.

A performance piece that addresses the themes of inclusion and technologic dependence. In response to the prompt of witness, Ready to Text? engages the audience by giving them the power to control people via text message.

Audience members determine a location on a grid where a "player" must dance in until they receive a new text with a new location. The performance begins with two "players" but as more people join, the allure of the game increases. The ideal goal is to include the majority of the audience such that all others feel the need or desire to join in.

An exploration of an unconventional method of communication.

Book compilation of experiments and assignments developed over the span of 10 weeks under the supervision of Gail Swanlund. The class used typography to redesign covers and chapter openers for the novel Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. Students were challenged to incorporate the themes of the novel into the design of the book. Starting with an abundance of restrictions, and progressively allowing more creative freedom this book showcases design development.
