My Name is Alicia and I'm Obsessed with Instagram™
Geez, I don't know where this sudden obsession came from.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the auto-magicalness of Instagram, it's an app (for iPhones only) that gives you around 10+ filters for every photo you take using the application. It also doubles as a social media platform so you can tag friends, follow great photographers using the app, and even create API databases based on certain keywords (thus, leaving you with an album of beautiful images pertaining to your favorite word—whatever that means).

Download and enjoy. I'm going to check my feed now for the 15th time today.

New Year, New York, New News
This is one of those posts where you play catch up with the reader in sharing all the wonderful moments you never got a chance to share because life got in the way (a good thing in this case).

Lots of exciting things happened towards the end of 2010, and I'm super grateful that I was able to leave that year on a good note. Moreover, many more exciting things coming up within the next few months, I'm just waiting for them to solidify. ;)

p.s. Photos are from a trip filled with good friends and good laughs. Some images were also taken at Levi's Photo Workshop in Soho (by far one of the coolest workshops I've ever attended). Enjoy.

Andrew Weir | The Boys From Milan
These shots are incredible. Upon seeing the first set, it was a bit difficult to assume a time period. Low and behold, these handsome subjects were photographed in January 2010, but could easily be placed anywhere between the 60s and 80s (with the exception of a few of the more contemporary-styled gentlemen) .

The speckled dust treatments on the polaroids, and the stoic imagery definitely make for a different tone in candid street photography (when compared to such popular fashion blogs as The Sartorialist and Stylesightings).

All praise can be given to photographer, Andrew Weir. The artist has over 15 years experience in the fashion industry, worldwide, as a casting director and photographer of some of the world's top international fashion publications.

See more of Weir here (AW Photography) and here (ACW Worldwide).

Family | Reunions
I took these pictures not too long ago. It's sort of a family reunion, but not really when you think about the circumstances.

My aunt passed away in the middle of June to cancer. It was pretty sad since she was kind of like this pop icon in my family. People from all over the country came to pay their respects when she passed and that's when I got the opportunity to meet very distant relatives that I would not have ordinarily met.

It's amazing how such a sad situation can also feel like the best moments happening all at once. But, I imagine this is exactly what my aunt would have wanted.
