Tango Visions
An art exhibit by PA7.
Curated by Alfredo Ratinoff.
Embassy of Argentina, Washington, DC
On view: April 10 through May 31
Hours: Monday-Friday, 3-5 PM
Opening Reception
Wednesday, April 10, 6:30 PM
This exhibit pays homage to Argentine culture and ancestry, and to the dichotomy of being both far away and yet so close. These paintings depict themes of the tango that was born and raised in the Rio de la Plata region and the tango that ultimately expanded across the world as a favorite dance. PA7, or Pintores Argentinos 7, have explored beyond the horizons of Argentina and are now living and creating their works in the Washington, DC area. Their art works collectively express the soul of Argentine music, dance and culture from their special view point as expatriates.
