Livid Feel
A program of three video works
Saturday, April 28, 2012
65GRAND is pleased to present Livid Feel, a video screening curated by Erik Wenzel as part of his ongoing exhibition at the gallery. The selected works cross the spectrum of direct experience. From the steps we take to alter our perceptions of reality, to the methods we use to record, comprehend and represent those experiences, the works range from the bizarre and humorous to the starkness of cinéma vérité and street photography. Where these works intersect is in the fact that all three take perceived reality and lived life as their starting point. Livid Feel brings together three artists from three locales, Luis Eligio D Omni (Havana) Linda Franke (Berlin) and Scott Wolniak (Chicago). This screening marks the US premiers of Eligio's and Franke's videos and the Chicago premier of Wolniak's.
