Abstract
The Plethora.Within Project is based on the superabundance notion within us as creative individuals and it is developed using the Deconstruction Concept Method.
The superabundance of one’s creativity can be represented or displayed in a multiplicity of variations of a first starting (or anchor) notion and further variations of those first variations (sometimes those variations of variations can be understood as anchors themselves). A continuous peeling of the first starting notion exploring, in an ad inicium stance, unexpected scenarios (or thematic variations) but always structured in a logical or sequential way (although not always apprehended in a direct observation; requiring further analysis caused by the redirection of unperceptive graphic or visual elements).
The first notion is developed into a set of anchor images that will feed the project as base or referential graphic elements. It is called The Canvas Edition. The first image, The Man With A Black Hat, is already in itself explored using the superabundance notion. All the other images can already be considered variations of that first image.
The logical, sequential method of variation used is based on the Deconstruction Concept Method created and developed by me in previous digital art projects. It alludes to the possibility of further detailing of a first, primal concept trying to complement it or make reference to unknown or not in a first approach visible, represented, relevant, aspect of it. A Tree is the end referential of branches, roots and leaves. A leaf or a branch does not represent a Tree but a Tree represents every leaf and branch in it. And a group of leaves taken from that Tree can be analysed alongside other groups of other Tree leaves. The skin of that Tree can also be analysed alongside other tree skins or further compared with all notion of skin, human or not. The different shapes of the Tree’s trunk can be analysed alongside other elements that bare similarity to those shapes; the shape might no longer be just a referential for Trees but to other unexpected notions. To know a Tree is to know the most relevant aspects of it, always in an interdependent structure of referential elements. To know a Tree might also indicate you know its name, its fruits, its flowers and leaves, and the time they blossom or the place or area they are most likely to be seen, or the identification of a particular tree flower smell amongst other tree flowers smells. Or even its strength in a compared analysed with other woods if you intend to build a furniture item.
This specific digital art project originates from the idea of superabundance as in an explosion (and an implosion) of variations of a primal anchor notion. The primal anchor notion referential element in this project is The Man With A Black Hat photo. A portrait photo of a man who within him dwells with this explosions and implosions of variations of him, of different ways of looking at him, outside and inside, format and contents. Variations he thinks are a known part of him and others that will surprise, disturb, amuse him. He will bear his name and other names; he will be known by other names and each of them no directly connect with HIM as the primal anchor. He will be reflected in details.
Photography, Digital Art, Graphic Design, Corporate Image, Branding, Packaging, Editorial Design, Industrial Design, Spatial Design, Calligraphy, Typography, are some of the design disciplines that will be used in the development of this project.
"... and i wish you good and plentiful orgasms", said The Man With A Black Hat.
