I recently heard that salmon have a small bit of iron ore in their brains that guides them through life and acts like a compass to help them return to the same spawning grounds year after year. I also recently discovered the artist Yuko Shimizu. I found her story and the salmon, connected, in some very abstract way. Two things I admire.
