I am a born again Christian who celebrates his faith in the Catholic denomination. Regardless of the misconceptions by those in the Body of Christ, these two identities are not mutually exclusive.

Recently I had stayed in the Catskills, and had been attending mass at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Across from the Church is a coffee shop and after mass I went to grab a cup to drink during the Bible Study Father James was holding after service. While waiting in line, I overheard two women talking. The conversation went like this:
" We had better hurry or we will miss church service." said the first women, clearly concerned that she may miss the beginning of service.
"What a ya' worried for? The church is right across the street." responded her friend.
"No", said the panicked woman, "That's the Catholic Church, we are going to the Christian Church up the road there."
It is this kind of misconception that keeps the Body of Christ at odds with one another. There is no ambiguity with the Catholic Church in any of it's beliefs, particularly as to whom is the subject of their worship and devotion. So, for anyone in the Body of Christ to be uncertain as to whether or not Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Catholic Church, is mind boggling. I mean seriously, it is not like there are religious icons depicting Buddha, Krishna or Shiva being nailed to a cross to cause any confusion.

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat. - Mother Teresa
